Trendit is a social media platform that will allow users to keep up with the latest social trends,
events and challenges. Users of Trendit can express themselves by creating their own viral content.
Trendit combines social media interactions with cryptocurrency by allowing users to earn cryptocurrency rewards for interacting with peers in the social space.

Well you may be thinking, how is trendit different from steemit and other cryptosocial media? Well, read on.

Trendits treats each post made from the platform as a trend, challenge, or events, for utmost experience.

Trends

A user can make a card from words, videos or photos to share his thought to the world. Trends can also be innovation thoughts from users and spaces will be provided for other users to comment or interact with the card or trend created. This will also be a room for enterpreneurs to share their dreams with the world. Each card made can recieve pledges(likes, claps or upvotes) from other users depending on the quality of the content created, these pledges will be translated into tokens which will be paid out every seven days (yes i mean it, every seven days...read on).

Users can also create a challenge or contests which will allow other users to participate by entering with a little token. These entrance fees will be used to reward the winners at the end of the challenge. So it will be pretty easy to run a contest, so far your contest or challenge is worthwhile you need not worry how to reward the winners, the system will do that for you. Interesting, isn't it?. The system will also have a periodic contests for all users to take part in and it will take the same mode as earlier explained. Contests will also be time bound that is, it will have a time limit to complete a challenge. Each challenge attempt will be made into a card which will viewed by other users to pledge or vote. The winner will be decided based on the number of pledges gathered and a user can earn more if he has a high rank.

Events

A user may decide to advertise or publicise an event. This will be made into a card(Post) which others can pledge and be invited to join the events. Users all over will be able to retrend (share) these events to gain visibility and pledges. Trendit when it launches will be a platform that will crowdfund events from pledges. This means that users who pledge for an event are indirectly paying token towards the event from the total reward pool alloted for the week.

Continuos weekly payout

Each pledge that the trend card gathers will be paid out on the seventh day. Lets say for example the card gathered other pledges on the eight day, these pledges are not lost, they will be paid out on the fourteenth day(day 14), any pledges gathered between the 14th and 21st day will be paid out on the 21st day.

Promotion and advertisement

Trendit will allow trend cards to be promoted to reach a larger population by paying just a token. This will surely be a great avenue for companies to advertise their product.
