Yes, I started blogging in Steemit in 2018 and it was really difficult for me. Back then, I felt like I am not really meant for such a type of way to earn online. So, I tried to forget about it and did not bother keeping track of my passwords.
After giving birth last year, all the anxieties, worries, stress, fear, hesitations and a lot more almost knocked me down. I needed an outlet from all of it and that was when I decided to try again. I was also desperate of finding a side hustle as additional soure of income then, I created my 2nd Steemit account.
I consider my come back a blessing and I am forever grateful to everyone who supported me along the process. Nevertheless, there are just things in life that you need to let go for something better, for you to also see the brighter opportunities ahead of you. This pandemic has already given me enough trouble plus the other factors of my life that affects my mental health. I felt like I need to involve myself in a more positive community to keep my sanity. Now, here I am, postive that hive is a better place to be.
Though things are still overwhelming here, I am elated with the idea that there are free webinars offered to support newcomers. I know how hard it is to start blogging but being able to get support and be guided on how to do things better is really something.
It's been days since we had the webinar but I still would like to post this as I would like to thank the people behind that successful virtual meeting hosted by @romeskie and
@tpkidkai. Thanks to my friend
@jenesa too for inviting me to join.
On the webinar, posting guidelines were discussed, like posting in the right communities and using relevant tags.
They also explained how payouts work and what percentage goes to your wallet as your HBD earnings which you can cash out. I like it when they also touched about other ways on how to earn here in hive apart from blogging and that's what excites me the most. That by curating other people's work and by delegating to the communities, you get to receive hp/hive in return.
You know what surprised me the most? It is the fact that if you transfer your earnings into your savings, it will grow at a certain rate. Wow! It is just like investing into a mutual fund where your money grows at a specifiec interest rate. That is something I look forward on doing soon. The last topic that was discussed was about trading.
Though it is still confusing for me but I get its concept that you have to buy low and sell it at a higher price for you to earn. I look forward to more hive talks covering trading and more.
After the talk, they prepared raffle for 5 lucky winners. I wished I won the raffle but I was never lucky when it comes to it. Congratulations to my friend @christianyocte who was the first raffle winner.
Overall, I learned a lot from the webinar which will be helpful in my journey here. I know it's not everything yet. There will surely be more to discover and learn and I am ready. I look forward to the day where I get to familiarize those new terminologies I heard from the webinar and make use of them for my goal of financial stability.
Until the next webinar. Once again, thank you so much to everyone who shared their insights, experience and expertise.
