Since Hive is our home, posting to Axie Buzz means using the Hive blockchain. Without Hive, none of what we are doing here would be possible.
Considering that most of the Buzz fam are first-time Hive users, we've found the need to create a dedicated tutorial that covers the basic knowledge needed to use the Hive blockchain. The platform can seem really intimidating at first since it is based on blockchain technology. This makes the new features and the entire user experience itself, quite difficult to understand. Our user-friendly guide will explain how Hive works in the simplest way possible while providing sufficient information at the same time.
The first step to becoming an active Hiver and a content creator for Axie Buzz is to create a Hive account. to be able to post and interact on Axie Buzz.
For this guide, we will be using PeakD as our main interface. Click on the link above to join. You will be redirected to HiveOnBoard to complete the next steps.
Note: Your username will serve as your Hive Wallet Address.
Note: Print/write every key ion piece of paper then store it somewhere safe.
Be sure not to lose these keys since there is no way of recovering the account once you lose your them. For security reasons, no one else should know about your keys so don't share them with other people, including the developers of Hive!
WHY DO I HAVE TO SAVE THIS INFO?
- Because no one can recover your account if you don't have this info.
- If you lose these keys you will lose your account and any currency in the account.
- These keys are how you will be able to sign in and use sites.
SIGNING IN
After this you are likely going to sign into a website using a login software.
- The POSTING KEY can be used for login software like PeakLock and the Hive Keychain browser extension
- The ACTIVE KEY will help you login using HiveSigner software
You can change your password later, but for now you have to keep it safe. We don't offer account recovery yet, so be aware of the fact that if you lose your password, your account cannot be recovered. This is what your private keys are for.
POSTING KEY: is used for posting content/upvoting
ACTIVE KEY: is used for transacting
MASTER KEY: Is used for recovering the account in case of lost keys/hack
If you lose your Master key, we can't recover your account so keep it safe! Your account can only be recovered if you have saved your "MASTER KEY". Best practice is to write your "Keys" on a couple pieces of paper and put them in different locations.
NOTE: Never sign in with your MASTER KEY and only use it in case you need to recover the account or you have lost other "Keys".
FOR PC USERS: Download Hive Keychain extension to Chrome. It will make your life easier as you won't have to input that long password every time you want to log in.
FOR ANDROID USERS: Can find the Hive Keychain App in Google Playstore.
For Android
Go to PeakD.com then click Login on the upper right corner of the website. Enter your username and click the Keychain for Hive. Hive Keychain will pop confirmation from time to time. Be sure to confirm it. Be sure you have added your Posting key in Settings-->Manage Accounts of your Hive Keychain
After creating a Hive account, new users will still have questions that need answering. Everything is new and hard to grasp since Hive is truly something special. On Hive/Axie Buzz our upvotes (likes) have a monetary value in the form of $HIVE cryptocurrency. The value of these upvotes is determined by the number of staked HIVE tokens a user has.
More staked Hive tokens = higher upvote value.
Apart from being able to Create to Earn with Axie Buzz, your Hive account can be used in other associated platforms and applications that are based on Hive since they are all connected to the same blockchain. Think of your Hive Account as the “Google account" where you can use it to access other HIVE blockchain platforms.

Hive posts payout 7 days after publishing and the default payout is 50/50. Half in $HBD and half in HP. Hive Backed Dollars or $HBD for short is a liquid currency and a stable coin pegged to a value of a dollar (1$). It can go above or below a dollar shortly but it has a tendency to remain closely tied to the value of 1$.
HP can be unstaked to convert to $HIVE in a process called "Power Down" which lasts 13 weeks and pays out 1/13 of the amount that's unstaked every week until all Hive Power is unstaked or the Power Down is canceled.

Earn from upvoting content of other users
That's right, you've read that correctly.
On Hive/Axie Buzz, people who upvote content of other creators (curators) actually get to earn for upvoting. The more their upvote is worth, and the better the content they curate, the more they can earn from upvoting. This mechanic is meant to incentivize value distribution to noteworthy content creators. Without it, users would have little to no reason other than a humanitarian drive to give value to others.
Upvote value is determined by the number of Hive tokens a user has staked in his/hers wallet. More HP = higher upvote value. That's one of the reasons Hivers like stacking HP as it increases the amount they can give to others or earn themselves in the form of curation rewards (rewards for upvoting content).

So you have learned about earnings, but where can you see your earnings? This can be easily found by going to the wallet. Just click on your profile picture or username on the upper right corner of PeakD then select "Wallet".
Click on your profile image > Wallet
