Lately, I've been on a couple of trips. The recent one I was on was a trip to Ejura in the Ashanti region of Ghana. On my way, I saw a little waterfall evolve from the rocks. Then it dawned on me, what are we even doing to ourselves as a country?
We recently discovered Lithium in the Central region of the country. But unfortunately, it looks like anytime we discover a resource, the state of the country becomes worse than previously.
I mean, look around you; a country filled with resources but also one of the poorest in the world. What don't we have? Is it water, or gold, or diamond, or oil, name it. But our situation is nothing to write home about. Our economy keeps going downhill.
Our leaders come on board with big campaign promises and the pretense of having the people at heart but inwardly, are selfish people, who just think of enriching themselves, their children, and their grandchildren.
I just can't comprehend whatever is going on with this country. I ask myself all the time, can there be change?? Is there even hope anymore?? We have everything we need to make one of the greatest and richest countries save good leadership.
The year is coming to an end meaning we are about to go to the polls again, but it looks like no leader has the country at heart. Is there any hope anymore??
