The Tanah Lot temple is one of Bali's most sacred temple. It is dedicated to the guardians of the sea and said to be protected by water snakes. At high tide, it looks like a floating island. At low tide, the temple is accessible - and only to Hindu devotees going to perform religious activities or ritual prayer.
