Lately I have taken a liking for night photography, the city looks very different, calm, quiet and where you can observe things that in the middle of the bustle perhaps not.
You can admire certain buildings, the serene streets, the lights of the street lamps, the stillness of the world and achieve reflections in that peaceful atmosphere.
And looking at these photographs that I have taken on an evening stroll, I reflect on the stillness of the night and the light breeze that brings me whispers of the year that is leaving.
We will be soon, who is not already, in the old night, and that is why the photographs are taken at night. A night when we must be calm to see what has happened, what challenges this year has brought us, what mountains have been placed in our way like this tall building.
Mountains that possibly meant a big problem and that to solve it we had to have more strength, more decision and that led us to have more wisdom.
When one more year goes by you are not older, you are wiser. That's what someone once told me and it has always stayed with me.
But that wisdom depends on us, on us knowing how to see the reason for everything that happens to us.
A year goes by in the dark night, but where the lights of the heart are ready to welcome the next year.
I know that for many people this year was complicated, full of comings and goings as a hiver told me recently, I think we all went through that this year. But the important thing is to take all that and say: what happened for, not why but what for.
The streets are empty in this year that is leaving, so that when the next one arrives we can fill them with beautiful moments, created by ourselves, new projects, new hopes, new challenges and renewed joy.
The streets are clean, to welcome the new year without distractions, without obstacles, in a free walk.
The lights are sometimes coloured like blue, thus giving tranquillity and intelligence to see beyond the obvious.
And often the lights are yellow, a powerful yellow, and that colour represents the wisdom we gained from what we learned in the old year, to guide our steps in the new year.
I wish that this new year that is about to begin will bring to all of us much wisdom, love, peace, joy, health and much happiness.
Thank you for accompanying me on this path. Best regards to all of you and see you next time.
Amonet.
