Healthcare systems, and administrative systems in general, around the world are designed in this way, without any empathy for people or any attempt to simplify the cumbersome bureaucratic process. There is always a piece of paper, a signature or a stamp missing, even though there is little real need for them, as if the aim were actually to create obstacles and prevent certain things from happening.
Not long ago, my mother went through a difficult time when, following an operation, she had to postpone an appointment with another doctor; she was simply told she had to wait six months, even though it was urgent and the delay was through no fault of her own. The administrative staff member offered no solution, and we had to speak directly to the doctors. All of this caused my mother to develop high blood pressure, and she now has to take medication. There was absolutely no need for that. I understand what you’ve been through, and that’s just how it is, that’s the way the system works. You’re absolutely right. A big hug!
