I think your pupils can see the love you have for playing the piano, and that’s reflected in their smiles – which don’t necessarily have to be on their faces, but rather come from the soul.
Back home, far away, there were huge photographs of me decorating the living room; I must have been about five years old, sitting there in a white dress with gladioli in my arms. But I remember myself at 15, with hair so curly it fell past my waist. My face looks almost the same as it did in my teens, but very different from when I was a little girl. No one ever drew a picture of me. But they saw me as sad, serious and shy. They thought I was a ballet dancer because I was so slim. I like the way I look today better; my hair isn’t quite so curly any more, and instead of reddish brown, it’s brown and silver!😆
