This series of photographs of the streets of your village is the very sequence of that village’s life, as if with every step you take you were capturing the passage of time, as if every metre travelled were a year. I understand perfectly what you’re saying: to people, it’s as if you were condoning the village’s decline, but in reality I think what you’re doing is capturing moments and seeing art in that decline. It’s another perspective that perhaps many won’t see, but that decline isn’t down to you, nor is it your fault, so all you’re doing is capturing history, reality and the truth.

Esta secuencia de fotografías de las calles de tu pueblo es la secuencia misma de la vida de ese pueblo, como si retrataras con cada paso que das, el paso de tiempo, como si cada metro recorrido fuera un año. Entiendo perfectamente lo que decís, para la gente es como si estuvieras de acuerdo con el avance desmejorado del pueblo, pero en realidad creo que lo que haces es retratar momentos y ver en ese declive el arte. Es otro punto de vista que tal vez muchos no vean, pero no depende de vos ese declive, ni es u culpa, por lo que lo único que haces es retratar la historia, la realidad y la verdad.
