Watched a new sci-fi movie, this one is from 2025 and is directed by Scott Derrickson. This is a genre mix of sci-fi, action, romance and horror.😃
The movie is about Levi Kane played by Miles Teller and Drasa played by Anya Taylor-Joy. Both are elite shooters from different nations who are stationed on either side of a mysterious chasm. The mission is to defend the world against creatures that come from the deep. I really enjoyed the first half of the movie which focuses on the relationship between the two, the way they communicate with each other and a romance develops between them. Good acting performances and tension in a quiet survival setting pulls me in. Around halfway through the movie the movie shifts gears and introduces intense sci-fi and horror elements, this takes a bit too much off for me and the plot suffers from incomplete explanations. But regardless an entertaining experience, for me this will be a 7.
