Besides the art of photography, there are many other types of art. This is cinema, painting, and music. And, of course, theatrical art. It is probably one of the most ancient of the arts. Even in Ancient Greece, theatrical productions were staged and many theatrical terms came to our languages just from Ancient Greece.
Do you like theater? Today I want to offer you some pictures from a walk through the theatrical places of the city of Moscow.
The first photo shows an element of the facade of the Yevgeny Vakhtangov State Academic Theater. Last year, the theater celebrated its 110th anniversary. Evgeny Vakhtangov was the founder of the theater. It is his sculpture that is located in front of the entrance to the theater.
The monument was opened in 2020, it is made of bronze. The photo shows that the toe of the left shoe shines like gold. People rubbed it. I don't know what this tradition can be connected with. I don't have any explanation. And you?
The second photo shows the interior of the Moscow Academic Operetta Theater. He is 9 years younger than the Vakhtangov Theater. The theater building itself was built back in the 19th century.
The color scheme of the hall design is interesting: burgundy and gold. A very effective combination.
In the next photo, the most famous theater in Moscow is the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia. Ballets and operas are staged on its stage. This is a very old theater. Its history begins back in 1776. He will soon turn 250 years old!
And two more metropolitan photos. This is a view of one of the inner streets of the State Department Store. From the balcony of the third floor.
Pay attention to the glass ceiling. And there are many such streets on the store's territory. It's not even possible to call it a "store", it's a small town.
In the last photo, I captured the interior of the lobby of the Moscow metro station - VDNKH. This is a ceramic bas-relief made using the ancient Gzhel technique. Very beautiful. Made in 1997.
