If you have access to videos on google or youtube I reccomend that you watch people making classic hard candy. It is an incredible skill, they must first create the mixture which begins as a liquid then slowly becomes more solid. They then have to stretch and stretch it and slowly it becomes shiny and interesting. After this they will take long strings of colors and twist them together to make the various design before they let it harden and finally break it apart into many individual and delicious pieces.
