These days, I put on pause the project I have in progress which I told you about in my last community post, to embroider something different.
Going through my closet, I found a jeans jacket that I brought with me among the few things I was able to pack in my suitcase when I emigrated.
The jacket is a few years old, I don't even remember when I bought it, the truth is that it has turned out so well that after so much time, it is intact and the best thing is that it still fits well to my body. So I thought I'd give it a makeover to give it a second life.

En estos días, puse pausa al proyecto que tengo en marcha del cual les hablé en mi última publicación en la comunidad, para bordar algo diferente.
Revisando mi closet, encontré una chaqueta de jeans que me traje entre las pocas cosas que pude empacar en mi maleta cuando emigré.
La chaqueta tiene unos cuantos años, ya ni recuerdo cuando la compré, lo cierto es que ha salido tan buena que después de tanto tiempo, está intacta y lo mejor todavía me queda bien al cuerpo. Así que pensé en hacerle una renovación que le diera una segunda vida.
For a long time, I had wanted to apply this technique that has always been in fashion, to renew a piece of my closet, but I had not had the opportunity to stop and choose which one.
There are many options to give a second chance to any type of clothing that we like, but we want to look different. We can paint it, transform the style, removing the sleeves of a blouse, for example, or embroidering as in my case.
Desde hace tiempo, había querido aplicar esta técnica que ha estado siempre de moda, para renovar alguna pieza de mi closet, pero no había tenido la oportunidad de detenerme a escoger cuál.
Hay muchas opciones para darle una segunda oportunidad a cualquier tipo de ropa que nos guste, pero que queremos ver diferente. Podemos pintarla, transformarle el estilo, quitándole las mangas a una blusa, por ejemplo, o bordando como en mi caso.
To renovate my old jeans jacket, I had the idea, from the first moment, to embroider some daisies. What was not clear to me was whether I wanted them on the collar or on the edge of the sleeves. However, when I started to detail it, I found the uve shaped seam on the front and I immediately imagined the little flowers there, so I got to work.
Para renover mi vieja chaqueta de jeans, tuve la idea, desde el primer momento, de bordar unas margaritas. Lo que no tenía claro era si las quería en el cuello o en el borde las mangas. Sin embargo, cuando me puse a detallarla, me encontré con la costura en forma de uve en la parte frontal y de inmediato me imaginé allí las florecitas, así que me puse manos a la obra.
I marked some dots where I would embroider each daisy to calculate how many there would be and to have a symmetrical design on each side.
Embroidering these little flowers that are like daisies is very simple, precisely the stitch used to make them is the daisy stitch that consists of inserting the needle into the fabric to give a long stitch, then pass the thread behind it, pull and close with a stitch in front.
With this same stitch, I made the leaves of the flowers and the center of them was made with the filled stitch.
I did this embroidered design on the front sides of the jacket and this is how it looked. I really liked the result, now I have my jacket renewed with a work made by my hands with a lot of dedication.
My daughter loved this work and set me the task of embroidering her jeans jacket. Of course, I was delighted to oblige. She is already looking for a design to be embroidered, and as soon as I have it I will share with you this new project I have in hand. Without forgetting the one that is already started and that I am doing with much love.

Marqué unos puntitos donde bordaría cada margarita para calcular cuántas serían y que quedara un diseño simétrico de cada lado.
Bordar estas florecitas que son como margaritas es muy sencillo, precisamente el punto que se usa para hacerlas es el punto margarita que consiste en insertar la aguja en la tela a modo de dar una puntada larga, luego pasamos el hilo por detrás de la misma, halamos y cerramos con una puntada al frente.
Con este mismo punto, hice las hojas de las flores y el centro de las mismas lo hice con el punto relleno.
Hice este diseño bordado de los lados frontales de la chaqueta y así me quedó. El resultado me gustó mucho, ahora tengo mi chaqueta renovada con un trabajo hecho por mis manos con mucha dedicación.
A mi hija le encantó este trabajo y me puso la tarea de bordarle su chaqueta de jeans. Por supuesto, yo encantada de complacerla. Ya ella está buscando un diseño para que se lo borde, en cuanto lo tenga compartiré con ustedes este nuevo proyecto que tengo entre manos. Sin olvidarme del que ya está iniciado y que voy haciendo con mucho amor.
