Among my unfinished knitting projects were a pair of gloves I鈥檇 started with the cold days in mind and that, for one reason or another, had been waiting for their turn. Sometimes, I start a project with great enthusiasm, and then another yarn or idea comes along鈥攍ike the little comfort pillows I鈥檓 knitting to send to Venezuela for the children who survived the earthquakes. So my gloves waited patiently in the basket, reminding me that someday I鈥檇 finish them.

Entre mis tejidos pendientes estaban unos guantes que hab铆a empezado pensando en los d铆as de fr铆o y que, por una cosa u otra, hab铆an quedado esperando su turno. A veces, me pasa que comienzo un proyecto con toda la emoci贸n y luego aparece otro hilo, otra idea como las almohaditas de alivio que estoy tejiendo para enviar a Venezuela para los ni帽os que sobrevivieron a los terremotos. As铆 que mis guantes esperaban pacientemente en la cesta, record谩ndome que alg煤n d铆a los terminar铆a.
I decided to take a break from crocheting the little pillows and devote a whole day to my gloves. I got my yarn ready, picked up my crochet hook, and before I knew it, they were done. It鈥檚 a simple pattern that produces a beautiful result without too many complications, and that made me enjoy every stitch.
I chose a gorgeous shade of blue because it鈥檚 one of those colors that radiates calm and goes with almost everything. As I worked on them, I fell more and more in love with how they were turning out.
What I liked most about this design is that it leaves the fingers exposed. It seems like a small detail, but it makes a big difference. I can keep my hands warm and, at the same time, use my phone without having to take off my gloves every time I want to reply to a message or take a photo. That convenience makes them a very practical accessory for everyday life.馃Ф馃挋
Decid铆, hacer una pausa en el tejido de las almohaditas y dedicarles un d铆a completo a mis guantes. Prepar茅 mi hilo, tom茅 el crochet y, antes de darme cuenta, ya los ten铆a listos. Es un tejido sencillo, con un resultado bonito sin demasiadas complicaciones, y eso hizo que disfrutara cada puntada.
Eleg铆 un azul precioso porque es uno de esos colores que transmiten calma y que combinan con casi todo. A medida que avanzaba, me iba enamorando m谩s del resultado.
Lo que m谩s me gust贸 de este modelo es que deja los dedos descubiertos. Parece un detalle peque帽o, pero hace una gran diferencia. Puedo mantener las manos abrigadas y, al mismo tiempo, usar el celular sin tener que quitarme los guantes cada vez que quiero responder un mensaje o tomar una foto. Esa comodidad los convierte en un accesorio muy pr谩ctico para el d铆a a d铆a.馃Ф馃挋
