Hey. It's your girl, atyourservice. Welcome to my blog. ❤️❤️❤️
Today, I want to share the outcome of my oats pancakes with you. I saw one of my favorite fitness girls do it and have since wanted to try it. I made some mistakes in the beginning, but I quickly adjusted.
There is also a sweet lesson I learned from this entire process. I share it with you shortly. I am a sucker for when the universe picks little moments to teach or affirm an important lesson, especially one that my mind has been searching for even without knowing it.

In the meantime, let's get to this oat pancakes recipe. The primary ingredient here is oats, you will need about one cup(250g) of oats to make enough oats to feed one hungry person. That would be about four to five slices of oats.

Here's a list of everything you need:

  • Oats 250g
  • Milk (I used 200g of powdered milk)
  • Two eggs
  • Two to three spoons of sugar
  • Water

I started by throwing the oats and milk in the blender and working it till it was powder smooth. If you would prefer it a little textured then you should leave it a little coarse.
I broke my eggs into my bowl of oats and milk, stirred properly, and added water. I mistake I made at the beginning was not adding a little more water. The first couple of pancakes were too thick and chewy so I added a little more water to the mix. Oats are fiber and which makes them absorb more water.

Every step of making your regular pancakes applies. Grease your pan, pour in your mix, and cook on low heat. The tricky thing making about oat pancakes is you don't get the little bubbles on top that lets you know when to flip. You have to pay a little more attention or it'll go toast.

Gradually, one cake after another, you will have yourself a full plate of oats pancakes to munch on and share with your friends and family.
This is a great and healthier alternative to your regular Jack's. I ate right after an intense morning at the gym and I was so full. Unfortunately, I didn't have any sweet syrup to go with so I scrambled some eggs and called it a day.

The Perfect Pancake Lesson

The nice lesson I from making these pancakes was about perfection. I love perfect things, cuts in the right shapes, and even lines and edges. When I made the first pancake, I was excited at how cute it looked. I thought it looked perfect and I immediately went for a photo.

Here are side-by-side photos of pancakes one and two.

I didn't see any flaws in it until I cooked the second one. Boy, was she perfection, and every other one after; the first one stood no chance. I thought more about it and didn't like the way my mind changed about the first formerly perfect pancake at the sight of the second one. The universe told me it is still perfect. It was the first perfect sample that made room for several other beautiful pancakes. Just because it looked different doesn't make it any less the perfect pancake I thought it was. And guess what? It tasted the same.

Thank you for sharing in my oats pancake moment. Hope you try it sometime.

Thank you for stopping by. ❤️
