Good day everyone. Hope we are all fine. Am sis Atuma Hope and am doing this post to share my lessons from the Mass-indoctrination Day 13.
According to the teaching,we learnt that being truely of Christ is for a change to be seen in our lives, it is for our total transformations. Once a person is baptised, such a person is buried with Christ into death and after baptism, a person is expected to walk in a newness of life as written in Romans 6:4; for one thing that we will acquire is to walk in the changed and true doctrines.
We learnt too that, there are two kinds of sins which include : sin that is not unto death and sin that is unto death. If a person keeps committing a sin unto death we should not pray for that person, for such sin can not be forgiven and so God encourages us to reject or put away such one who keeps committing these sins (Titus 3:10); reasons being they can corrupt the other good members among the congregation. In the Bible, there is no re-baptism or baptizing someone again.
The sins that are unto death are explained in the book of Matthew12: 32-34, speaking against the Holy Spirit, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit don't attract forgiveness but it is a danger of eternal damnation as in the book of Mark 3:29 and others are acts written in the book of Acts 15: 19-20, 28 and 29 which are
*Abstaining from things offered to idols,
*from eating blood,
According to Psalms115:4, idols are the works of a man's hand, made of silver, gold and some are made of wood (oak wood). In Isaiah 44: 13-18, idols are graven images made by a man with oak wood in a man's likings. It is an abominable act to make to kneel or worship idols (idolatry) as in 1 Peter 4:3.
if we worship a creature other than the creator, it is called idolatry. we should only worship God who is the creator of all things. When John was to bow down before an angel, he was prevented from doing so by the angel because the angel is a creature like him too and creatures are not to be worshiped but the creator only-Rev 22:8-9
We also learnt according to 1 Corinthians 8:7, that we are not eat food sacrifice to idols. it's abominable to eat such food. Eating foods sacrifice to idols defiles the conscience and hence we should abstinence from such. There are many gods but there's is only one true God. The God we serve is different from the God's of the Muslim. The God in the Bible wasn't begat and do begat , while the god of the Muslim wasn't begat and does not begat. In the book of John 1:1-3, Jesus was the father even in the beginning. He was begotten by the father in the beginning. If a male horse can begat, how much more God in heaven.
we also learnt that it is prohibited to eat blood. it's considered unclean to do such. Peter and Ezekiel avoided eating that which unclean- Acts 10:14 and Ezekiel 4:14. Blood is considered to be something Sacred. it's for remission of sin. The life of the flesh is in the blood. Blood is something spiritual. When the animal is killed, the blood is to poured to the ground before preparing it to eat it.
We also saw from the teaching, that we are not to eat strangled meat also known as double died meat. Eating such is an abomination before God.
We are to flee from fornication as children of God. Every other sin we commit is outside the body but fornication is with the body. it's a sin against the body. When we fornicate,we sin against the Holy spirit and how body is the temple of the God. God dwells in us and hence we must keep the body pure at all times-1Cor 6:16.
God bless you for reading through. Hope we are blessed. You are invited to keep joining us in our mass indoctrination.
