On Saturday 30 December 2017, the Maclean Showground was the venue for the 2017 Lawrence Rodeo.
I went down in the afternoon to sit in the stands and catch some of the action of the preliminary events including the Junior Bullriding and the early heats in the Women's Barrel Racing.

PS. A few days after the rodeo was held at the Maclean Showground, a storm and mini tornado tore through the town causing a great deal of damage to the showground stands and pavillion.
