i do think that this "rule" (and others) re. where posted first, could be put up for discussion with the hive-wide community, then voted upon.
i'm currently agreeing with the Hive-watchers stance, but i see do see quite a few accounts which post content posted elsewhere first, and in some cases i think that it's justified that they still get rewards due to the nature of what they are sharing and work involved. However, i would like to see community discuss this, but perhaps this is not the priority one.
Also, how votes are counted/weighted by HP is another (more important imo.) matter, but i won't go into that here.
At the moment, as hivewatchers say, the community has agreed upon the rules as the DHF proposal has been funded. But there was/is no option to agree / disagree with particular rules other than not supporting the proposal. This @hivewatchers (in answer to your question) is what i mean about more decentralisation. Would you consider making a post inviting discussion initially to gauge community opinion, about particular "rules" which are currently applied? Perhaps pick one topic every 2 weeks, giving one week for discussion then another week for voting. Begin with AI maybe?
