I just read an article about how Dream Cats NFT's were created using the artwork of someone else, although CC licenced, he refers to it as infringement of his moral rights.
The Catavatars are not used as they were designed: the author added a distortion on the top, a filter, the DeepDream algorythm over my original art to deform the cat and mostly to be sure all the pixels of the pictures are affected so the author ROPLAK can relicense fully this derivation.
The article is well worth a read if you are buyer or especially a creator/seller of NFT.
If you're an investor, you might want to look carefully at the creator of the NFT's, find out where the original art came from, before buying, as, if it turns out, like in this case, the origin is dodgy, then very likely (if it comes to light), that the value of the NFT's and your investment will decrease.
