Hello my people of Hive Open Mic is a privilege to be back in this space that has become an important place for me, this is my second presentation, that's why I come to present a theme of the singer Juan Luis Guerra entitled "El Ni谩gara en bicicleta " in my entry for the week # 106 referred to the theme of bicycle.

This song is one of the favorites I have of this singer, is a bit thematic and his lyrics involve a hospital ward where everything works as a fantasy, that's why the singer tells the story of the whole journey to get to him.

El Ni谩gra En Bicicleta

Canci贸n de Juan Luis Guerra

Versi贸n Espa帽ol

(隆30 000 pesos!)
"驴Qu茅 le pasa, atleta?"
Y que el suero ya se us贸
Para endulzar el caf茅
Y o铆 claramente cuando dijo a otro paciente:
"Tranquilo, Bobby, tranquilo"
(El Ni谩gara en bicicleta)
(En bicicleta, oh no)
No me digan que me va cayendo
De tanto dolor
No me digan que las aspirinas
Cambian de color
No me digan que me van pariendo
Que le falta amor
No me digan que le est谩 latiendo
Oh no
No me digan que me va cayendo
De tanto dolor
No me digan que las aspirinas
Cambian de color
No me digan que me van pariendo
Que le falta amor
No me digan que le est谩 latiendo
Oh no
No me digan que me va cayendo
De tanto dolor
No me digan que las aspirinas
Cambian de color
No me digan que me van pariendo
Que le falta amor
No me digan que le est谩 latiendo
Oh no.

English version

He gave me a sirimba on a Sunday morning.
When I least expected it
I fell round, like a soursop, into the gutter.
Maybe it's my blood pressure or my bilirubin has gone up
And I got hot and bothered
And I went white as a ball of mothballs
They took me to a hospital of people supposedly
In the emergency room, the receptionist listened to the lottery
(30 000 pesos!)
Somebody take pity on me!
I screamed losing my senses
And a nurse came up to my ear and said:
"Easy, Bobby, easy."
She caressed me with her Ben Gay hands and said:
"What's wrong with you, jock?"
And I told him in great detail what had happened to me.
We need to check your blood pressure
But the ward is busy and, my dear
In this hospital there is no light for an electrocardiogram.
I opened my eyes like a full moon and grabbed my head (heh)
Cause it's so hard
To go over Niagara on a bicycle
Don't tell me the doctors are gone (oh-oh-oh-oh)
Don't tell me they don't have anesthesia (oh-oh-oh-oh)
Don't tell me that they drank the booze (oh-oh-oh-oh)
And that the sewing thread
Was embroidered on a tablecloth
Don't tell me that the tweezers got lost (oh-oh-oh-oh)
That the stethoscope is having a party (oh-oh-oh-oh)
That the X-rays melted (oh-oh-oh-oh)
And the serum's already been used
To sweeten the coffee
I leaned on his shoulders like a lame man on his crutch
And I said, "what do I do, princess?"
And on a piece of prescription paper she wrote me very sweetly:
"Sorry, athlete."
He caressed me with his Ben Gay hands and followed his destiny.
And I heard clearly when he said to another patient:
"Easy, Bobby, easy."
I lowered my eyes to half-mast and grabbed my head
Because it's so hard
To go over Niagara on a bicycle
Don't tell me the doctors are gone (oh-oh-oh-oh)
Don't tell me they don't have anesthesia (oh-oh-oh-oh)
Don't tell me that they drank the booze (oh-oh-oh-oh)
And that the sewing thread
Was embroidered on a tablecloth
Don't tell me that the tweezers got lost (oh-oh-oh-oh)
That the stethoscope is having a party (oh-oh-oh-oh)
That the X-rays melted (oh-oh-oh-oh)
And that the serum has already been used
To sweeten the coffee
(Niagara by bicycle)
(On a bicycle, oh no)
Don't tell me that I'm falling down
From so much pain
Don't tell me that aspirin
Change color
Don't tell me that I'm giving birth
That it lacks love
Don't tell me that it's beating
Oh no
Don't tell me that I'm falling
From so much pain
Don't tell me that aspirin
Change color
Don't tell me that I'm giving birth
That it lacks love
Don't tell me that it's beating
Oh no
Don't tell me that I'm falling
From so much pain
Don't tell me that aspirin
Change color
Don't tell me that I'm giving birth
That it lacks love
Don't tell me that it's beating
Oh no.
