Good day folks, today I will be posting a poem I did some years back for a friend who had problems appreciating herself because of her skin color. She was under the impression that if she was white everything would be easier for her, perhaps she was right but I had to kick some knowledge into her. So the poem goes like this.
Hey Mary
Be proud of yourself
True beauty lies in yourself
They don't love you
You love yourself
Be selfless
Never love your selfless
Black is beautiful
Black is Gold
White is diamond
Diamond is carbon
Carbon is black
Black is you
You are the real diamond
Diamond is black
