I was only able to play using Incense as I had to go somewhere, didn't end up with a Shiny unfortunately.
Hmm you are kinda mistaken there. Only male Kirlia can evolve into Gallade indeed, but both female and male can evolve into Gardevoir. So on male Kirlia you should see the choice for either Gallade or Gardevoir two separate evolve buttons :D
