Great review and welcome to the tribe. "Martial Arts" Movies have always been this way. Some are good, some are bad and some are so bad they're good. When I was a kid, on Saturday afternoon we had Kung Fu theater. Each week they would have a different movie. I don't know if it was Kung Fu or karate or something else entitrely. You just had to suspend disbelief for an hour or so to enjoy the movie.
