This time of year is a special time for some of us as we retire from the world of work and delve more into uniting with our families. What a time it may be because if you're like me, we haven't been valuing family values over worldly ones. As much as we say "It's not easy to collapse back into our seats and let the flow of life flow", it definitely has been inspired by our habits in the first place. And indeed perhaps the most powerful habit itself is "thinking"
It inspires a fight, a fight that never ends as we seek to come out on top over the world, when in reality none of that is necessary. Yeah we've got the TVs and books steering us into directions, but ultimately there's a smoke screen that's much closer to home -- much, much closer.
Your own mind, this thing we view the world with, is controlled by how we see it. And that's a pretty powerful thing once realized, because it absolutely places you at the center of your life's circumstances - your choices to do this and freak out about that, and take this to heart and support that but sacrificing this; it gets out of control.
It really does.
So, take a deep breath.
And when you feel a wave, don't fight it just ride it. Channel it if you need to but just relax and feel it working with you, not threatening or destroying you.
