Hiii ^^
Here’s my drawing for the Splinterlands Art Contest. For this week’s contest, I decided to draw the portrait of “Iza the Fanged”
I was thinking about what her sketch should be like, as you can see she has a tattoo of a snake on her body so I thought instead of drawing the tattoo I draw the snake around her neck. I sketched her face in two different angles but I liked this one better.
This is how I drew her hair: After coloring the base colors, I used a paper cutter to draw some highlights on top of it and then used a white gelly pen to have more strong lights.
Also, I drew some hair strands around her to make it more realistic.
Using the white gelly pen is so handy. If you’re a traditional artist, by using this method, you can easily create a lot of highlights you want to draw. The cool thing about it is you can immediately erase it from the paper with a cutter or the tip of a pencil.
Hope you like this portrait ^^
