Starbucks Diponegoro

An activity that I dislike the most is 'waiting'. You know that waiting is boring, a waste of time and a waste of energy. The only way to do it while waiting is to sit with your cell phone on and scroll through social media homepages. For that, I do not like to wait. But, today I have to wait, it's time for me to go to the doctor and get medicine as usual, once a month I routinely come to the hospital to see a doctor and consult.

As a government insurance user (in Indonesia it's called BPJS), you only need to spend 3-5 hours a day consulting a doctor for free (you only need to pay a premi of 5 dollars per month and get health services). That means, your time can pay more for treatment and it is very profitable for those of you who are not rich enough to pay for the hospital like me.

Because the doctor's schedule was very tight, I ended up waiting across the street near the hospital, there was a coffee shop that was very famous even around the world. As you know, Starbucks has many outlets, even in my city there are already more than 10 outlets. This coffee shop is like an amoeba that can divide itself in any country, city, and region around the world.

To be honest, I'm not a stabucks connoisseur, you could say I only stop by 2-3 times a year, I prefer to come to local coffee shops that have a special taste and their own taste. This doesn't mean Starbucks doesn't have good coffee taste, I prefer to like something that is anti-mainstream and supports local businesses in my area.

Since I thought the queue for the doctor's consultation would take too much time, I crossed the road and headed to the Starbucks that was in the corner of my eye at the time. Located between several tall buildings such as malls and hotels, this Starbucks outlet is really very beautiful in the eyes of people who like classic decorations.

This Starbucks outlet is really very unique, considering that they use a very small building and have their own characteristics. From outside the building, it looks like an old building with typical Malay ethnic houses in the city of Medan. Looks very dominant with a classic dark brown color. Wooden windows located on the second floor add to the historic value of this old building.

Entering the room and heading to the cashier's desk, I chose to drink a glass of greentea frappucino with chocolate which turned out to be I could redeem a buy 1 get 1 voucher. I got 1 glass of salted caramel macchiato for free, but apparently I was confused about who to give it to because I came alone. It is very confusing, why is my name always wrongly stated by the barista. I said the word 'Wita' but instead it was written 'Mita'.

Back to the topic, because this is my first time at this Starbucks outlet, I will dig a little about the attractive design of this building. Because I was so very interested in the architectural design of a historic, classic but still luxurious and elegant building displayed by the Diponegoro Starbucks outlet. Diponegoro Starbucks, because this coffee shop outlet is on Jalan Diponegoro, which is located right in the middle of Medan City.

The Diponegoro Starbucks outlet has a large enough yard for parking cars and motorbikes, because it is packed with many visitors, this Starbucks outlet is indeed full with many visitors, even though Starbucks is one of the coffee shops which is quite expensive compared to other coffee shops, the brand is not just any brand. , a good name that delivers great branding too.

Enter through a glass door with a wooden material that is quite heavy to push, big and heavy enough for a petite person like me. When entering, the door also sounded like the sound of an iron bell ringing in the ear. The air is blowing with air conditioning and the smell of room perfume mixed with the indescribable smell of roasting coffee, can make you want more coffee.

As far as my eyes can see, this coffee shop is full of wooden designs throughout the material. You can see several chairs, sofas, tables, floors, furniture, barista tables, paintings with wooden frames and even decorative lamps. Everything is filled with wood materials that blend well with everything in the room. I thought, if espresso machines could use wood, they probably would! So that everything in this room is full of wood material. It was obvious that it was almost entirely brown, even with the building's exterior wall paint.

Well, wood material is very suitable to be combined with cream or white wall paint which will add value to the classic interior design of this room. With the perfect blend, it is able to build elegant and cozy vibes in the room. This is also very influential with the comfort that visitors get to feel at home for long in this room.

This Starbucks outlet also has two floors that can be used by visitors, both of which are also very attractive and can be adjusted according to needs. For those who want to feel the pleasure of air conditioning, you can enjoy it on the 1st floor, while the second floor is divided into 2 rooms, indoor and outdoor. Outdoors can be used by anyone who wants to smoke, but not when indoors, because it will really disturb other visitors with very annoying cigarette smoke.

The staircase leading to the second floor is very unique, retaining the aesthetics of very sturdy old wood, the stair handle is also made of wood. So very much maintains the value of the classic design aesthetic of an old building. Even though in fact, almost all the materials in the building have been completely renovated, without leaving the slightest vibes of an old building. So, you don't need to be afraid of the impression of horror from the old building, because this Starbucks store building will not disappoint you. I really like this Starbucks outlet, because it's different from other outlets in my city.
