The idea of extraterrestrial life is upsetting to some because it seemingly is in opposition to their theology. What I think is that some who think the creator is omnipotent, really don't believe it. The universe is a living entity.It is colossal and grand in its scope. We are microcosms of the larger entity. Our existence is proof of extraterrestrial life.Life doesn't exist in one part of our body.Our body is life. It sustains life. The universe which supports us is life, it sustains us, therefore it sustains life. We are the cells within the larger body, the galaxies are organs. The stars, mitochondria, powered by hydrogen and helium. If we don't exist then we could make an argument that life elsewhere doesn't exist. But, because we are here then life also exists over there.
