My latest nft to hit the showroom floor is actually an early image I made in a sequence of images loosely connected by the common presence of entities/structures called, simply, "Strings"

What are the Strings? The name is inspired by a fantastic movie created by a famous puppeteer. The film was also called "Strings". It was all puppets, wooden marionettes fighting some ancient war in a far off fantasy land. The twist in the story is that the strings by which the puppeteers operated the puppets were part of the tale. They were like the "souls" of the puppets. If a character cut another character's string, that character was dead.
It was a really interesting idea, and the concept of Strings stayed with me for many years.
The Strings in my shared universe are heralds of a sort, ushering in a kind of corrosion of reality. The universe is bleeding and the Strings are part of it all somehow.
How? No idea. I need to find that out myself. I'm reminded of the mysterious Dark Tower in Stephen King's Dark Tower series.
