My last little trip outside Krakow was accompanied by the blinding September sun. There was not a single cloud all day long. I played hide and seek with the light, tried to tame it or outsmart it. No way!
I took all photos in the Ojc贸w National Park, where Jurassic limestones carved by the Pr膮dnik River formed a picturesque valley. The park is located on the long (about 160 km) hiking Trail of the Eagle's Nests. It is a very scenic trail with many ruins of medieval castles built on high limestone rocks. Soon I will tell more about them because they are both an exciting story and beautiful scenery. Meanwhile, I put a few views from a small section of the route (no castles yet 馃槈) by way of introduction.
The Pr膮dnik River - it is small, but very "energetic" 馃榾
The local architecture is lovely - wooden (fully or partially) houses, small historic churches, and shrines. It is an area of a national park, so further commercial development is not possible. This scenery will stay like this for many years.
Here you can see organic trout farming. You can order various dishes made with this fish in nearby restaurants.
Working with the sun that day was really demanding :) But I have no objection, what's more, I hope the weather's like this all autumn. I have so many plans!
