I saw quite a few talks on Twitter today about EOS. Some people are tagging tweets saying that Block One never fulfilled promises to invest $1 Billion USD into EOS-based projects and general funding.
Block One described these investments and commitments several times. Now it's thought that they might not be doing it either:
- Because of legal issues (i.e. the SEC ruling earlier)
- Because of lack of interest/follow through
Dan Larimer is known for the 2nd. The first though is interesting because they did have SEC run-ins in the past.
Regardless, this brings up a great point about Ethereum. I don't spend any time on EOS for a reason. I spend a lot of time on ETH for a good one as well:
Ethereum is one of the most decentralized projects in all of crypto. Perhaps only surpassed by BTC in this regard. It's a global network that allows anyone to build a project with smart contract solutions and a great deal of flexibility.
ETH is just getting started and when I see this in-fighting - like what's happening on EOS, I deepen my resolve that ETH is the best place to be in all of crypto.
Bitcoin is our stable store of value but ETH is the platform to BUIDL and experiment.
