When the red ball of fire,
Kiss the far tip of the horizon,
And when the dying sun,
Lightens up it watery abode for the night,
I do keep on craving,
For the returning sail of my love.
Though endless lies the sea to those who see,
And long line those it trace,
In the heads of those who think,
But to an end,
Will the boat sail,
And bring home the love ones,
To the shout of their mothers.
Sail back home my wee boat,
Even if the sea soaks out the weaning sun,
Or the breeze puts on a gale in shore,
Leisurely will their boat Sail,
Homeward to their mothers.
