For decades, the Nigerian economy has continued to be a snare to the average Nigerian populace. What with the current inflation going on within the country, the average Nigerian youth is facing a serious difficulty in surviving. As a result of this, many of the youths do not focus on developing their potentials but instead focus on selling it out at it tender stage in other to survive. But this method is just a cycle that goes round without any positive change.

Now, what this youths need is an avenue to earn something to live on and at the same time developing their skills. The earning serves as a means of motivation rather than a total and parasitic purchase of their ideas and means of skill improvement. And with the current increase in unemployment, employers have continued to increase in harshness and becoming negatively high-handed and demanding

Hive as played a block bursting role in this direction. Majority of the Nigeria youths and families as a whole live on less than 1 dollar per day and that is if they can forgo their skill development or any form of improvement on it, especially writing skills, since there won't be time for it.
The hive community has set up a ground where a member can contribute his/her quota to the community, learn from other experienced writers and also earn a sum to support themselves and in some cases, even their families.

Lets take a look at this breakdown. 1 HBD due to the current inflation rate is equivalent to #560(NGN). A good writer can earn over 5 HBD in a day, which amounts to #2800(NGN). Most average families in the country can survive on that and the youth can still have time to get other jobs that are less paying but is compactible with writing on hive and on the long run also develop his/herself with the experiences gathered from the community.
Using myself as an example, i have not spent much time on hive, less than 3 months but i have gotten a great deal of knowledge from experienced writers which has kindled my love for writing and learning and it has also fixed me on the path of attaining a reasoning level of financial security.
A very big kudos to HIVE for coming into the life of our nation and i recommend that the Nigerian youths should check in with hive and walk the path of greatness.
