Танк нашли и подняли из реки Друть, которая протекает недалеко от Могилева. Танк затонул, когда при переправе через реку под ним не выдержал деревянный мост.

С этим экспонатом произошла криминальная история. При строительстве мемориала, в одночасье к танку подъехали кран и грузовик, погрузили 20 тонный танк в грузовик и увезли. Охрана подумала, что танк увезли на реставрацию. И только через несколько дней все хватились, что танк уехал, но никуда не приехал. А за границей цена на данный танк составляла несколько миллионов долларов. И только через несколько недель поиска в одной деревне на подворье он был обнаружен. Хозяин подворья сказал, что ему за определенную цену поручил хранить танк незнакомец. Через несколько лет нашли и незнакомца, который уехал на заработки в Россию. Его осудили.
With this exhibit there was a criminal history. During the construction of the memorial, a crane and a truck arrived at once to the tank, loaded a 20 ton tank into the truck and drove away. The guard thought that the tank was taken to the restoration. And only after a few days everyone missed that the tank had left, but did not arrive anywhere. And abroad the price for this tank was several million dollars. And it was only after a few weeks of searching in a village in the courtyard that he was discovered. The owner of the farmstead said that he had been instructed to keep a tank for a certain price. A few years later, a stranger was found who went to work in Russia. He was condemned.
