Lore

Grum raised his greatsword above his head and shouted. “Draykh un Fliera!”

In an instant, a rush of flames whirled around his sword. It reflected on the shield and in the green eyes of his opponent. Grum hit the man in the stomach with the hilt of his sword before he brought it around in a large sweeping arc over his head for a second attack. The last thing the man saw was a fiery greatsword being swung at his face.

Brief Introduction

Grum Flameblade is a legendary fire splinter card that belongs to Chaos Legion edition pack, it is an airdrop cards that first published in january 2022. At level 1 this card requires 11 mana cost to use, if the mana has high cost usually the card is good. Melee damage is 4, decent attack especially to avoid the effect of forcefield ability. 1 speed, all things have flaws. 5 armor and 10 health are stats that every tank must have. The first ability is Bloodlust : Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats,In the Reverse Speed ruleset, -1 to Speed. The second one is Void Armor : Magic attacks hit this Monster's armor before its Health

considering the rules of the battle, the wise choice for Grum Flameblade is to be placed in the last position. while, to increase the chance of his bloodlust ability being active I breaks attacks from my other monsters, uraeus and tenyii attack the backline, djinn apprentices will attack enemy monsters with ranged, magic or no attack that are not in the first position because he granted the snipe abilty. now bloodlust chance to be activated is 50% because the monsters that attack the opponent's tank are only grum and living lava

I use tarsa level 2 on this battle, placed living lava as my main tank followed by ooze to reduce enemy speed, uraeus and tenyii as backline attacker djinn apprentice as magic damager and last is grum himself. Lucky for me the enemy only use tarsa level 1, with antoid platoon as main tank, followed by dissintegrator that reduce my monsters melee damage, serpentine spy and fire elemental has low health, and last was djinn apprentice.

DID YOUR STRATEGY WORK? WHAT WILL YOU TRY DIFFERENTLY NEXT TIME?

FIRST ROUND

you may directly watch the battle here : Battle link

In the first round enemy fire elemental landed an attack on my ooze and killed it and do blast damage that destroy uraeus armor, because my uraeus didn't have any armor left it is killed by enemy serpentine spy on his attack. after that the other monsters attack but nobody get killed till the next round.

SECOND ROUND

Screenshot (188).png

The enemy fire elemental once again landed succesful attack to my monsters, my djinn apprentice suffered damage leaving him with only 1 health but after that it was easily killed by enemy serpentine spy. when grum attacked he managed to kill enemy's tank and activated his bloodlust ability, getting +1 to all stats.

ROUND 3

Screenshot (189).png

This round enemy djinn apprentice was the first monster that get killed, my tenyii striker killed it with lethal attack. after that my main tank was killed by enemy serpentine spy, making tenyii as my tank and later suffer damage from enemy dissintegrator and fire elemental that succesfully killed him. Now Grum Flameblade VS Everybody.

ROUND 4

When I saw Grum kill the other four monsters I was reminded of the technique Hinokami Kagura or the dance of the fire god in Kimetsu No Yaiba Anime, lmao.

CARDS REVIEW

grum (198).png

As long as the mana cap is high I always try to use this card with also bringing ooze to reduce speed gap, bringing scavo hireling is a good choice too. In some rule set this card become a beast, such as reverse speed, melee mayhem, equal opportunity and super sneak. it is not a good decision to use this card in low mana cap cause your attack may miss and that means bad if you only has this card to play

What do you think of Grum Flameblade? type in the comment section if I missed something else 😄
