Most of us have seen at least one zombie horror movie, maybe watched some series like The Walking Dead. Considered harmless entertainment by most and a source of humor for others. No one thinks it can ever happen... but it has...
Look around at all the mindless drones swarming around the cubicle farms, trapped by crushing debt and empty promises. We were all promised a house, loyal wife and the good life if only we submit to the machine called society.
Look at the growing replacement of human labor with automatons, the hordes of unemployed young as well as the cut throat competition to be a cog in the machine.
The unceasing glut of mindless entertainment, consumerism & victim culture creation is destroying the Western world. It all started way back in the 1800's but no one could have known about the zombie virus. The first chance to spot the outbreak came with the creation of a fiat currency system, alas it was missed.
A credit based economy, third wave feminism, wasteful wars, crashes. These were all signs of the virus spread as more people displayed the symptoms; a lack of critical thinking skills, believe in the absurd and simply existing, not living.
If you do not spend your weekends absolutely hammered sleeping in the gutter or if you are a 'lucky' cog in the machine and can see the absurdity of your forty hour long peanut hunt (if you're lucky).
There is hope.
How To Defeat The Zombie Virus
Have a measure of self-sufficiency is a must, this takes several forms.
Power independence – this is an often overlooked area, for the low price of a few grade B solar cells and some scavenging, you can enjoy solar power generation. You can also build a wind turbine for under £100, a 24v 1kw one to be precise.
Food independence – something that is often scoffed at, but is much simpler in reality. A small aquaponic garden can produce a surprising amount of food, while also having health benefits as the food is not treated with a bazillion chemicals.
Security – often the deciding factor in your survival, as the zombie hoards become more desperate to fulfill their basic needs. They will look to you for resources, because you are different from them and they will be desperate, especially when the standard work week is 100 hours long. Your home is you're castle, even if it is mobile.
Income independence – employment is only one source of income and the truth is when you work for anyone else you work for peanuts. Maneuver yourself into a more self-sufficient position, build your skill base and then break free. Become an entrepreneur.
Closing Words
Having the courage to take these steps is difficult and challenging, but if you fail you shall forever become part of the hoard. As 'the decline' continues unabated the only thing you can do is prepare yourself, the only person you can control is yourself. This is why every government based system is doomed to failure, as it attempts the impossible, destroying a great deal in the process.
