Yes, SURGE holders in liquidity pools (LPs) do earn yield on their SURGE side of the position.
The yield is calculated based on SURGE holdings snapshotted weekly (Sunday-Monday window): liquid SURGE in your wallet or the SURGE portion of an LP (like SURGE/USDC). It's paid Monday at 0:00 UTC as $0.15 HBD per SURGE annually, prorated weekly (~$0.00288/SURGE).
This incentivizes LPing over sell orders, as LPs provide immediate market liquidity while earning both yield and trading fees. Sell orders on order books don't qualify, since SURGE isn't "held" in eligible forms.
