When you are not here,
life becomes a desert,
there is no sun to light up the day,
nor moon to dream in my chest.
The sky cries in silence,
with drops of sadness and cold,
every corner holds the lament
of a love that left early.
The hours drag heavy,
like shadows that hide the brightness,
the flowers wither their song,
and the air breathes an emptiness.
There are no more poems on my lips,
nor smiles to cover the abyss,
the verses drown in tears,
lost, aimless, without rhythm.
I feel the echo of your laughter
in memories that long for yesterday,
but in this world without you,
there is only rain that tastes like paper.
My heart cries out in sleeplessness,
yearning for your light in the mist,
because when you are not here,
life is a lament.
