Sometimes it's not as easy as they say,
is not to fall down, get up, wipe your knees,
and carry on laughing,
as if life were a simple game.
Sometimes the ground embraces,
and in its embrace you feel the weight
of a thousand broken dreams,
of withered hopes,
of promises forgotten in the wind.
You stay there,
in the silence that screams,
where the shadows whisper
that getting up is only an option,
but who understands the pain
that every fall brings?
Sometimes it is a desert
where loneliness blooms,
and the flowers are thorns
that remind us of the ardour
of a day gone without warning.
