The idea behind this scene was to build something that was loony yet seemed mysterious. It had to look like the journey started from somewhere safe to somewhere really dangerous.
Deleting two faces and then blending a bridge between them.
Edge loops were added and scaled to form a natural bridge appearence.
Some hanging peaks from the ceiling.
Below we see the colors used, surfaces defined with emission and a hell of a lot of lights.
