Filming BMW’s at Silverstone (Day 1)

Yesterday was the first day of two, shooting video action at the legendary F1 racetrack Silverstone!

It’s event coverage as part of a team, covering a BMW training event.
I really enjoy my job and the kind of variety it brings, especially with unusual trips out like this to awesome places.

My job as videographer was to run around the site with fellow Videographer @jackshootsstuff, following a timetable of sessions. It was a mix of filming presentations, being trackside with the cars and shooting mini vox pop interviews.

We enjoyed rigging GoPros to an army of cars whizzing at 110mph round the main track!

However there were some casualties on the GoPro 😂
SPLAT!

One thing that stood out was taking a ride in a BMW M5 CS.

There are only two of these in the UK currently. Brand new.
626 horse power. 6 litre. 0-60 in 3 seconds. £140,000!! 🥵

I’m not a car lover or petrol head. BUT HOLY SMOKES CAN THAT THING MOVE!

There’s more filming ahead today, although it is now raining unlike the incredible sunshine we had yesterday!
