For a Splinterlands player, it is important to add all types of cards to their deck so they can have an aggressive, offensive and defensive strategy... In particular it is very important to have an aggressive strategy in every battle.
For this you need good ranged attacker monsters. You should have both low mana and high mana ranged attackers in your deck as they can be very helpful.
Today I will talk about a monster card that is very affordable. You can easily add it to your deck. The name of this monster is Sea Stalker. It belongs to the Water element and has excellent abilities and stats...
If I talk about its visual appearance it looks like a female character being in the water. She is holding a bow in one hand and a sharp sword in the other... She looks ready to attack the enemy in an aggressive mode.
This is an 8 mana monster card with great powers and abilities. As I mentioned earlier it is an aggressive ranged attacker. At its maximum level it has 5 ranged attack power. A ranged attacker attacks enemies from a distance.
Remember that every attacker has its own ideal position, so keeping the correct positioning in mind is very important. This monster can deal 5 damage every round making it capable of dealing heavy damage throughout the battle.
Unfortunately this monster has no armor to protect its health. It only has health points that determine its survival. However its health is not very high so it is better to pair it with a monster that provides healing or protection.
This monster also has 3 speed which increases its attack speed and helps enemy attacks miss more often.
Now let's talk about its four special abilities such as Snipe, Camouflage, Cleanse and Amplify. These four abilities make this monster extremely dangerous.
Snipe allows a ranged or magic attacker to target enemy monsters behind the first position instead of attacking the front-line tank.
For example if the enemy has a tank in the first position and another monster in the second position, this ranged attacker will usually target the second monster.
This helps weaken the enemys backline instead of attacking only the main tank.
The second ability is Camouflage. This ability prevents the monster from being directly targeted unless it is placed in the first position.
Since Sea Stalker is a ranged attacker you normally would not place it in the front. When placed in the backline, Camouflage protects it from direct attacks.
This is especially useful because the monster has relatively low health allowing it to stay safe while continuously dealing damage from behind.
The third ability is Cleanse. This ability removes all negative magic effects and debuffs from the allied monster in the first position.
It works as a support ability for your team. If the front line monster is affected by burning, poison or other harmful magic effects, Cleanse removes those effects so the monster does not continue taking extra damage.
The fourth ability is Amplify. Amplify increases the damage dealt by abilities such as Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Return Fire and Thorns.
This means that whenever these abilities are triggered they deal even more damage to the enemy, making your team more dangerous.
Now let's move to the most important part of this article that is price and renting.
The price of this monster card depends on its level. At the starting level you can buy it for around $0.04.
As you continue upgrading it, the maximum level card currently costs around $5 on the market. Considering its strong powers and abilities I believe it is very affordable.
However if a player cannot afford to buy this card they can simply rent it.
The rental cost starts from around 1 to 2.5 DEC per day making it easy for almost any player to use this card in their deck and take full advantage of its powerful abilities.
