If a user wants to increase their influence in the Hive ecosystem, one of the best ways is to increase their Hive Power in some way. If you have money Hive is available at a very reasonable price and buying it could give you a good profit. But if you cannot afford to buy it, you can also take a lease on #Hive-Engine and the leasing process is very easy.

You simply have to log in to Hive Engine and go to the Lease section. After that you have to request a lease and fill in all the blanks and fields such as how much HP you need, for how many weeks and how much payment you will make.

After completing all these steps you submit your request. If you have offered a good APR your lease will be filled quickly. In this way your Hive Power will increase which will also increase your influence.

I recently took a lease of around 30,000 HP and it is expiring tonight at 10 PM. So my lease is now coming to an end. Now the question for me is whether I should apply for another lease or not.

Remember that a lease will be beneficial for you when you take it and the price of Hive pumps afterward. Your voting power will increase and you will get good earnings. But if you take a lease and the price of Hive goes down then it will result in a loss.

The same thing happened to me. I took an HP lease when the price of Hive was around 6 cents. But during these three months the price of Hive has recently come down to around $0.044 which is a drop of around 30 to 35 percent.

This is the biggest reason stopping me from applying for another HP lease because Hive is showing quite disappointing performance. We can see many very weak coins pumping while on the other hand Hive is a solid project but still a lagging coin whose price is not appreciating. This certainly puts you in a disappointing mood.

That is why I currently have no intention of taking a lease until I see that Hive has become bullish. This time, if I see Hive turning bullish I would like to take a huge amount of lease. But for now I am not going to apply again.

I have right now 50600 HP which is my actual power. For now this power is enough and I will continue curating.

When I see that Hive enters a bullish phase I might take a lease of around 100,000 Hive Power so that I can get good growth in the long term.

So, for now I have no intention of taking a Hive lease but I definitely have plans for the future. This will depend on Hive price becoming bullish again and maintaining bullish momentum in the long term. At that time, taking a lease will also be beneficial because your voting power will increase and your earnings will certainly increase as well.

Because at the APR I offered when requesting my HP lease, I did not get any benefit from that lease. In fact, perhaps I can say that I even faced some losses after the three month period. But one thing is certain: it increases your influence which is definitely a plus point.

So I will wait and see what kind of movement Hive's price shows before deciding on my next step.
