Yea, visualization is a very powerful tool and it's important we visualize.

First let talk about vision.

Vision is a preview of your future and everyone has a vision and vision is not a function of sight but a thing of the heart or mind.

Every great man today that has accomplished something remarkable in life first have to see it's possible, believe in it, visualize the dream, imagine it and then begin to take practical step to what you are visualizing.

One of the personal experience I have is that I visualize seeing myself standing in front of thousands of people and taking and preaching the word of God and then I couldn't even stand be two persons and talk and it was something I desire and right now I can Stand and talk before crowd and that was something I couldn't do before.
