I am currently getting off the centralized websites such as Twitter and YouTube, and possibly completely canceling them. There are far better alternatives than those websites.
Currently I only swapped Twitter with Gettr, dBuzz and MemoCash, but removed the entirety of my content from that website. My YouTube content still remains, but I do not plan to upload anything in the future.
With time I will swap all my default apps with their more modern and user friendly alternatives. I believe a lot of people will do so, because there is simply no more a need to feed huge hungry corporations, as they don't hold a monopoly over anything.
A few days ago while I was trying to send a tweet an app warned me that my tweet contains the foul language. Let me remind you that is the same platform that allows multitude of foul, graphic and violent content, false information and obscenities, and considers a mental illnesses completely acceptable to society, even recommended form of behavior.
If you disagree in any degree, Twitter will ban your account. The ones that are not on their taste, but still too ambiguous to ban, they will shadow-ban their tweets which means those tweets will not exist in the search results.
All that together: lying, frauds, supporting sickness, illegal activities, censorship, ban on free speech and much much more has made me to jam my account and transfer my activity somewhere else.
I also have an issue with trolling. A pathetic excuse of the person made six accounts on Twitter just during the period of one month in order to contact, harass and troll my account, I reported an each, support done absolutely nothing to suspend those fake accounts. The same person sending emails daily on my Gmail account, which by the way I delete without reading.
Gmail is yet another problem when you are dealing with spammers, scammers and other garbage because you can't prevent receiving all that junk mail. I find it quite disappointing and I already have a very safe and reliable email provider, so I will no longer need any assistance from Gmail for any of my online interests.
