In the fifteenth-16th century, the presence of Sri Chaitanya in the social, cultural and religious history of Bangladesh was a big event. In the efforts of communal harmony and harmony, he and other Muslim rulers patronized art and literature. In the mythological stories, the Hindu translators and poets are given overall favor. These poets were honored with various titles in recognition of their talent. Despite all this, there was an emptiness in the atmosphere of the then Bengal. That vacuum is on the question of unbiased humanity. The rebellion against traditional social and religious ideologies should be densaken. For these reasons, the need for a thought-revolution to sustain worldly and spiritual status became evident. On the way, Shri Chaitanyadev appeared with his neo-Vaishnav philosophy. This religion-philosophy swept through the tide of bhakti, contemporary Bengali society and cultural area. The atmosphere of unification of the Bengali nation was created due to the bondage of devotion. In this important stir, Chaitanyadev presented the medium of propagation of his devotion, and in a great sense he praised it. The songs of Kirtan hit the wall of different caste society. The greater Bangalee community has brought together the same procession of devotion to the greater Bengali population. As a result, a formal form of kirtan emerges as a natural form. Therefore, kirtan can be present in an important position in the social and religious aspects of this country.
