Never in my life did I think I will be talking about such stuff and never have I ever noticed this until now. Yes, I have indeed seen that Big Hotels in the Metro Area most of the time do not have Fans in them and I never wondered why as they had Air Conditioner in the rooms so what would be the point of having Fans but I just learned that the truth is something else entirely. In fact, if you go to 5 Star Hotels located in the Hills or Beaches you will get Fans but this feature of not having Fans in 5 Star Hotels is kind limited only to Metro Cities and the reason behind it is simply Legal Issues.
When it comes to the Construction of Commercial Properties in Metro Cities there are certain limitations when it comes to the height of a building and for some reason in India that is determined by the height and not by floors. So if hypothetically the height limit is 100 Feet a guy can build a hotel with 10 floors of 10 feet each but at the same time, he could squeeze in 15 floors if he kept each floor at a 7 feet height. Now you might be wondering what do Fans have to do with the height of a Floor and its simple if you have a fan in the room you are forced to increase the height of the floor even if its by a couple of feet which means a loss of a few floors for the hotels itself.
