I just have to say this out that I really love to have Booze although I have to say that I am definitely not addicted to Alcohol. But it really is strange how my Journey of Alcohol has taken place and while I was thinking about it I really thought that I really have gone through a lot of Alcohol in my Life and what I drank really changed with my Age and the place I stayed in.
So let me start this from the beginning.
My journey with Alcohol started when I was in College as that was when I was introduced to Alcohol with the help of some seniors in our Hostel and I was introduced to Mc Dowells No1 RUM. Yes it was RUM that was my very first Alcohol type but that did change quickly as I was introduced to BEER the same year and from that point onwards BEER had been my goto Booze category for like 5 years.
But it was also around the 4 year mark that I got a taste of Whiskey and truth be told Whiskey has been my goto Booze category since then. Yes I also try out several other Alcohol Categories like Vodka, Brandy, Wine and many more but I always came back to Whiskey.
At the beginning of my Whiskey Journey I used to have the cheap Whiskeys which was ok for a while but then I started to experiment with Cocktails specially a Cocktail with Whiskey, Vodka and Beer and trust me guys I had some of the best buzz when I used to have those.
I tried a lot of combinations for the cocktail but it seems Mc Dowells Whiskey, White Mischief Vodka and any Beer was the best combination for this Cocktail. I used to do this because having this cocktail was cheaper on my pocket than just having single pegs of Whiskey. But late in 2021 I had an incident after which I stopped drinking Cocktails and shifted towards more premium line of Whiskey’s.
I started dabbling into Single Malt Whiskeys
Now once I started to dabble with Single Malt Whiskey’s I just can’t have anything else. At one point of time I literally had an array of Single Malt Whiskey’s in my cabinet and the collection of mine was so Rare that you can hardly find those bottles anywhere in town.
Sadly my collection is almost at its end as I have gone through almost each and every bottle of it and now I am left with the last one which I am saving for the Month of April as I don’t drink from January-March so yeah the last Single Malt Whiskey in my collection will debut in April 2024 and then I will start to build back my collection once again.
This is my participation post for the March Monthly Prompt Initiative
