India is interested in building two economic zones even if it wants land for the establishment of three economic zones. Considering the interest of the businessmen of the country, the government has taken forward the work of establishing Mongla and Mirsharai Economic Zones. They are working to establish the business bodies of the country for establishing and managing this economic zone.
This progress in the establishment of the Indian Economic Zones has come in the last joint working group meeting. The meeting was held on 22 February in New Delhi. A delegation from Bangladesh participated in this. Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) has said that a delegation from India will come to Bangladesh in June to take forward the process of establishing economic zones.
