Steem Monsters Grinding On

It's big a mixed bag with regard Steem Monsters the last couple of days.

I'm getting used to the mismatches but not enjoying them, obviously.

The rewards were changed yesterday so instead of 1 pack for 100 ranking and 2 for 1000 we can now win 2 packs at 400 so that is now my target.

On Tuesday I played z batch of 7 games lost 5 and felt totally fed up with it so stopping playing.

I could see that similar teams that was loosing to had a Twisted Jester so I bought one of those for 0.09c which I'm told is a bargain and a Screaming Banshee while I was at for 0.37.

I managed to wib some games but ended up being mismatched badly again and at the end of the day I had lost 42 points on ranking and was then at 307.

Yesterday, I kept playing when there seemed to be fewer high teams around and managed to claw my way to 457. That Twisted Jester was making a big difference. even so it has take me 2 days to progress just 98 points! 😱

As usual, in an effort to cheer myself up I opened some packs.

That wasn't particularly brilliant either.

This was the best set.

All in all I got 10 rares, 2 epics and 1 gold common from the Beta packs plus, 4 off my list

And 11 rares, 2 epics, 1 gold rare from my Alpha packs. The gold rare is currently worth about $10 but that's a long way from the $200 I spent on them.

I have called it 'Tales From The Steem Monsters Nursery' since, having no previous knowledge/experience of such things it feels like I'm a toddler, back at nursery school. Except I have a lot more thinking about how hard it is to understand than a toddler ever would! 😂
