Steem Monsters Beta Gift Packs For Me. Hoorah!

Current Rating: 391 ~~~ Highest Rating: 415

My last post I left game playing in order to spend some time sorting out my notes. However, I think I've left it too long and will probably just throw them away and start again.

The game play changed again yesterday to a mana of 19 and no legendary cards. The latter makes no difference to me as I only own The Angel of Light anyway. Well, until today at least! 😁

Today I picked up the Spirit of the Forest too.

I was doing OK with my matches until I got pitted against higher value teams again so it was pointless going on. I only managed to play 11 games.

This seems to happen more and more frequently as people move up the Leagues. That means there are fewer and fewer of us left at the bottom.

It must be different at the top because people are playing hundreds of games there.

However, I'm not keen to combine my cards and level up yet because that will bring even more variables into the game and I haven't grasped the basics yet.

Yesterday I had a nice surprise. I'd forgotten that due to the Kick Starter campaign making over $75K I, and many others, were due a 50 beta pack bonus and that came yesterday.

This morning I decided to open 10 of the packs and see if they contained any of those missing cards I mentioned in my last post.

Out of the 50 cards I found 4 off my list - Cocatrice, Grumpy Dwarf, Enchanted Pixie and Elven Cutthroat.

There was also the Legendary pictured above, 3 epics and 11 rares and 1 gold.

Apart from the pack with the Silvershield Knight Gold and the one with the lengendary I would guess this is the next best one with 2 epics and 1 rare.

They seem to vary a lot in value though as the Defender of truth Epic is only worth 0.27 whilst the Talia Firestorm Epic is currently worth 1.99.

I'm not sure how good this haul is compared with other peoples' but then, I haven't finished opening all the packs yet.

Here's the updated list of what I'm looking for in order to have a complete deck of cards.

Blue
Xia Seachan
Frost Giant

Green
Xanswe Foxwood
Spirit of the Forest

White
Kiara Lightbringer

Death
Twisted Jester
Screaming Banshee
Jarlax the Undead
Lord of Darkness

Dragons
Selenia Sky
Lightning Dragon
Chromatic Dragon
Gold Dragon

Neutrals
Peaceful Giant
Centaur
Cyclops
Raging Impaler
Magi Sphinx
Hydra

As always . . . stay tuned for the next thrilling instalment! 😂 😂 😂

This post is part of a series documenting my journey with the game of Steem Monsters.

I have called it 'Tales From The Steem Monsters Nursery' since, having no previous knowledge/experience of such things it feels like I'm a toddler, back at nursery school. Except I have a lot more thinking about how hard it is to understand than a toddler ever would! 😂
